Submission Form

Be sure to fill out all the required fields below. You can submit more than one film but you need to fill out a separate form for each.

The EARLY BIRD submission fee is $15 for short films 35 minutes or less, $20 for films up to 99 minutes, and $25 for films 100+ minutes. The EARLY BIRD submission period ends on June 17, 2012 at midnight.

After June 17, 2012 fees are $20 for shorts up to 35 minutes, $25 for features up to 99 minutes, and $30 for films 100 minutes or more. The FINAL DEADLINE is July 28, 2012. For more info, visit our Filmmaker FAQ.

CONFIRMATION
Once you complete your submission, you’ll receive an email confirmation, and a PayPal payment notification within about an hour. If you don’t receive both of these, your submission has not been finalized and you should contact us at submissions AT darkcarnivalfilmfest DOT com.

SUBMISSION MATERIALS
In addition to completing the Online Entry Form, you will need mail the following by the submission deadline:
A DVD, DVD-R, or Blu-Ray (Region 1 or Region 0, NTSC only), clearly labeled with:

NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE
Acceptance is subject to selection by our screening committee. Final selection announcements will be made in August, 2012 and you’ll receive an email regarding the selection of your film. We’ll also keep a running a list of all the scheduled films on DarkCarnivalFilmFest.com. If you need your DVD or tape back, you’ll need to be sure to include a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your submission materials.

Terms of Submission Agreement
I, the contact person for the film submitted with this application, agree to the following:
I have read, understood and complied with all eligibility requirements of the categories for which I would like this film to be considered. To the best of my knowledge, all statements on this document are true. My film is not subject to litigation nor is threatened by any litigation. I am duly authorized to submit this film to Dark Carnival and I hold the Festival harmless from damage to or loss of the materials en route or otherwise during the course of the Festival’s possession of the film. Should this film win any awards at the Festival, I am authorized and/or empowered by all parties legally representing this film to receive all cash prizes and awards.
