Vendors

Dark Carnival VendorsThis year we’re excited to offer an expanded merchandise area. We’re working to bring a variety of  vendors of horror, sci-fi, and cinema related items, including memorabilia, art, books, movies, comics, T-shirts, and more!

The vendor area will be at the Fountain Square Mall, 101 W. Kirkwood Ave., in downtown Bloomington, less then a block from the Buskirk-Chumley Theater.  Vendor hours are Saturday 10am-4:30pm, and Sunday 11am-4pm.

Attention Vendors: Early-bird table rental is $150 for the weekend and includes two festival passes. End cap spaces (3 tables in a U-shaped configuration) are $350. Electrical hook-up is available for an additional $15. After June 15, table rental is $175.  CLICK HERE TO RESERVE YOUR TABLE!

UPDATE: Early interest has been pretty strong, so in the event that we sell out of spaces, we will do our best accommodate everyone (which may include expanding in the current venue, or moving to a larger venue.)

Vendor Info

Materials & Equipment

  • Dark Carnival Vendor AreaThe Dark Carnival Film Festival will supply one 6ft. X 2ft. table & table cloth, plus chairs for the duration of the event. These items are provided at no cost to the vendor.
  • Vendors will need to provide their own cash banks, extension cords, pipe and drape, easels, etc..

Technical Assistance

  • Vendors are responsible for load-in and load-out within the allowed access times. (See ACCESS below for access times and important load-in information.)
  • Vendors will need to provide staffing for their booths.
  • Electrical access is limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis, for an additional fee.
  • Internet access within the vendor area is not guaranteed. There are some wi-fi hotspots close by, but access within the Fountain Square Mall may be spotty. If you need to find free wi-fi, just see one of the festival volunteers and we’ll do our best to help.

Load-In and Access

  • Fountain Square Mall - Dark Carnival Vendor Area

    Fountain Square Mall

Exhibitors will need to set-up between 8:00-10:00am Saturday, October 20.* Your vendor table must be open by 10:00am Saturday, and closed by 4:00pm. The vendor area will re-open at 11:00am on Sunday and close at 4:00 p.m. All vendor employees and volunteers must wear identification, which will be issued by the Dark Carnival Film Festival. Vendors will receive two free weekend passes for the festival. Additional discount passes will be available for vendors. (*We are working on getting the area open on Friday night for additional load-in time, so check back here for info.)

An important note about load-in: Due to some limitations of the facility it may be necessary to schedule load-in times (we may also add load-in hours on Friday night), depending on how many vendors participate. Street parking is available directly in front and behind the building and we will do our best to maintain a dedicated loading zone. In addition, Dark Carnvial will provide a number of volunteers who can assist you with load-in.
