Volunteers/Internships

Dark Carnival is a week-long annual horror film festival with multiple events at multiple venues. The festival combines live bands and live performance, an art exhibit, vendor room, and film screenings. With more than 1400 people in attendance in 2007, we're working hard to become the foremost festival for indie horror in the midwest.

It takes a substantial team of volunteers to make Dark Carnival a success. We utilize volunteers in almost every area of the festival from special events to sponsorships. We welcome your help in all these areas. With multiple screening series totaling more than 40 films, one of our biggest needs is for ushers. Ushers are on site at the venues doing everything from tearing tickets to selling merchandise.

Additional volunteer opportunities include: Street Team, Vendor Assistance, Public Relations, Guest Coordinator, Publications/writing/editing, Screenings, Sponsorships, Transportation, Travel & Hotel, Volunteer Management, Graphic Design, etc.

Dark Carnival also provides student internship opportunities for course credit..
